Harriet I. Kreiner, of Billings, passed away at Aspen Meadows on Thursday evening, Aug. 25, 2011. She was born on Oct. 23, 1924, in Billings, the daughter of Edward and Mary Streitmater Beck, Sr.

Harriet was raised in Billings and was in the second class to graduate from Billings Senior High. On Oct. 23, 1945, she married John F. Kreiner and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage. In her journey through life, she enjoyed being a mother and nurturing two daughters. She loved to read, work in her flower garden, swim for exercise and also to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler and also an excellent cook.

Harriet was preceded in death by her husband John; her daughter Kathy Glenn; grandson Roy Glenn; and her brothers Don and Edward Beck; and sister Marian Cook. She is survived by her daughter Gerry (Clay) Buttman; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Little Flower Church, 3411 3rd Avenue South. The family would like to thank the staff of Aspen Meadows for their loving care of Harriet while she was a resident there. Also, a special thank you to RiverStone Hospice for all their help and support during this difficult time. The family requests that any memorial funds be made to these two fine organizations or to Little Flower Church.

Harriet is now home with her Lord and Savior, we look forward to that day when we will see her again.
