Jeff “Punk” Nelson, 53, of Billings, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2014, with his loving family by his side.

Jeff was born to Jesse and Lillian (Sheckles) Nelson on Dec. 2, 1960, in Kokomo Ind. Jeff and his family later moved to Laurel, where he spent his childhood. As a young adult he enlisted in the army where he served his country proudly!

Jeff really enjoyed camping, fishing, weight lifting, and arm wrestling, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his many nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry, and nephews Michael, Dusty, Christopher and Jake. Jeff is survived by his sisters Kathy (Bob) Burgener, Darlene Nelson; brothers Jessie (Jan), Don (Linda), Bob (Theresa), Tim (Cora), Bruce, Brad (Amy) and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, his best friend and fishing buddy, Pat.

We will love and miss you always and forever! Our strength comes from knowing that our Lord has called you home and we will meet you there someday!

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, at Faith Chapel, 517 Shiloh Road, Billings, use the Broadwater Entrance. A reception will follow at the church. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association.
