Joseph LaBrie, 62, passed away and went to be with God on Oct. 4, 2012. He was born in Holyoke, Mass., on Aug. 23, 1950, to Romeo and Beatrice (Maheu) LaBrie.
Joe came to Montana to work in the Livingston sawmill as a young teenager. He loved the mountains, the Big Sky country and the wide open spaces. He met his wife Dixie in January of 1976 and they were married on June 6, 1976, at Grace Methodist Church in Billings. They spent 36 wonderful years together.
Joe was a Journeyman carpenter and a master woodworker. He created fine furniture, birdhouses and one-of-a-kind pieces of woodwork, for both inside and outside of the home. He also loved to paint pictures and created many types. He loved old cars, to collect memorabilia and enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved animals, especially dogs. He had five beautiful dogs during our marriage.
Joe was a loving husband, humorous friend, storyteller and soul mate. But also a brother, dad, uncle and grandfather to his numerous family members. He is survived by his wife Dixie and numerous family members.
We all will always love you and miss you forever!!!!
