Heaven gained an angel when Josephine Kessler McIntosh passed away on Sept. 11, 2017. She was born a preemie on Dec. 13, 1937, to Joe Kessler and Margaret Blehm in Billings. A few years later she was joined by a baby brother, Gary Kessler. When her father remarried she gained a step brother, Walter Kirkpatrick and step sister, Estelle Kirkpatrick.
She graduated from Billings Senior High, Class of 1957. Josephine married Frank McIntosh on April 19, 1958. They made their home in Billings. Frank passed away on April 10, 2014. They have four children, Arnie, CJ, Valerie and Daryl.
She enjoyed the monthly luncheons with her classmates until the pain was too much. Thank you, Janet for taking her. She also enjoyed the monthly game of pinochle with her friends. Her happiest times were the 12 years her and Frank traveled in their motorhome.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Estelle; and husband Frank.
She is survived by her two brothers; her children: Arnie (Linda) of Wisconsin, CJ (Dave) of Billings, Valerie of Billings, and Daryl (Vickie) of Missouri; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and her much loved dog, Sparky.
We would like to thank Dr. Erica Bruen and staff for the years of loving care, also everyone at Riverstone Hospice House for the compassionate care given to her and her family during her final weeks.
