SHERIDAN, Wyo. — Martha Louise McKenzie, 87, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Sheridan Manor.
Martha was born in Sheridan, on Dec. 10, 1926, to parents, Kenneth and Vedia (Logsden) Kerr. She married Loyd McKenzie on June 4, 1947, in Hardin in a liquor store owned by the justice of the peace who married them.
Martha worked as a cook in the Arvada School District. One of her favorite things was picking up rocks. She enjoyed her time at Day Break at the Senior Center, puzzles, spending time with her grandkids and family.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, and a daughter. She is survived by her children, Carla (Richard) Kretschman, of Arvada, Wyo., Loyd (Marcina) McKenzie, Jr., of Sheridan, Kenneth (Sandy) McKenzie, of Custer, George (Chris) McKenzie, of Parkman, Wyo., Ellen (Johnny) Kretschman, of Arvada, Kate (Junior) Trujillo, of Sheridan, Melodee McKenzie, of Sheridan, Clinton (Judy) McKenzie, of Arvada, Scarlet (Mike) Peacock of Sheridan, Justin (Christy) McKenzie, of Sheridan, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
