Pattie Willems was born in Nibbe, Montana, to Joseph Wilson and Della Winchester Wilson. She grew up with two sisters, Shirley Welch (Lloyd) and Betty McHenry Roberts (Toby). In her early years, she lived with her family in the Bull Mountains, north of Pompey’s Pillar and then in Hysham where she attended schools. She attended Billings Business College after graduating from Hysham High School in 1950. She married William “Bill” Willems of Hysham, Dec. 27, 1951. They first lived outside of Hysham, and then in 1957 moved to Pease Bottom in the Myers area where they farmed and ranched for the remainder of their lives together. They had four children: Kathleen “Kat” Pawlowski (Dick Zier), William “Bill” Willems (Laurie Arneson), Marjorie Dyce (Mike), and Patti Jo (PJ) Thompson Hanley (Dave).
Celebration of her life will be held Friday, Nov. 10, at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Ave., Billings, MT 59101 at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Rancher Cemetery Pease Bottom in Myers at approximately 1:30 p.m.; late lunch at the Treasure County Community Center, 306 Rapelje, Hysham, MT at 2:30 p.m.
