BOISE, Idaho — Reva Ann Redfox, 58, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Busby, passed away on July 18, 2012.
She was born in Crow Agency, daughter of Ralph Redfox and Angeline Whiteman from Seiling, Okla. Reva was baptized at the Catholic Church in Busby and attended schools in Busby and St. Labre, where she excelled in basketball. After high school, she completed heavy-equipment training through the Indian Action Program in Lame Deer, and later attended S.I.P.I. as an optical technician in Albuquerque, N.M.
She lived most of her adult years in Billings, Zuni, Spokane and Boise. Her hobbies and interests always included her family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Reva was a sports fan, and an avid Boise State University football fan. She was devoted to her nephew (Duran Caferro Jr.) in his pursuit of an amateur and pro boxing career.
Survivors include her parents, Ralph and Marcia Redfox; special aunts, Edna Redfox and Mae (Ed) Eckman; brothers, Robert II, William and Oran Redfox, Winslow (Charlotte) and Vincent (Clara Ann) Whitecrane, Verlin and Michael Foote, Warren Redfox, Dean Rondeau, Billford, Tex and Logan Curley Sr., Bruce Whiteman Jr., Maynard and Leonard (Violet) Wolfblack; sisters, Karen, Jennifer (Lyndon), DeWanda (Jay), Ethelene, Florene (Kenny), Connie, Eva, Betty, Fonda (Jay Bob), Melanie (Charlie), Virginia, Ginger and Francie Whiteman; special friend and sister Joyce Three Fingers; special nephews, Derek, Benjamin, Duran Jr., Robert III, Ainhus, Joe, Jaryll, Dana, Brandy, Tyler, CJ and Shawn; special nieces, Pauline, Adrienne, Thyra, Michaela, Jackie, Jasmine, Jade and Brenna; special grandson whom she thought the world, Gavin Kohl; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren; as well as her extended family including the Wolfblack, Little Coyote, Eaglefeather, Whiteman and Spear families; and all her friends in Boise. Traditional wake services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Busby Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Busby school gymnasium. Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery near Busby. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
