The world lost a great friend, son, brother and inspiration on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his Billings home.
Ryan spent his childhood in East Glacier Park Montana, graduating from Whitefish High School in 2008, and eventually landing in Billings, where he worked as an accounting specialist at Planned Parenthood. He attended the University of Montana for two years, and then finished his degree in Health Information Management at MSU Great Falls, becoming certified as a Registered Health Information Technician.
Ryan was a talented hockey and tennis player, skier, snowboarder, and more recently, a folf enthusiast. He was always up for a good water adventure and loved all sports, which made him known as the family sports trivia guru. He was a lover of music, his favorites including Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac. Ryan was always the life of the party, a great confidant, a curious learner, and a beautiful generous person.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Randy and Carol Rottenbiller of East Glacier Park, Laura Pringnitz of Whitefish; sister, Annie Rottenbiller; stepsister, Wende Polen and family of Billings; stepbrother, Michael Mitzel and family of Billings. His grandmother, Eva Rottenbiller of Springport Mich; Uncle Arthur Rottenbiller and family of Columbus Ohio; and Aunt Loretta Guynn and family of Laramie Wyo., as well as many friends that will miss him greatly.
A memorial service is planned at the First Presbyterian Church in Whitefish MT at 11a.m. on Aug. 1. A youth Hockey scholarship in Ryan’s memory is being set up at the Stumptown Ice Den in Whitefish.
