Sally Brickman, 59, of Billings, became an angel on Nov. 12, 2013. Sally was born on Nov.18, 1953 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with Down Syndrome. She is the daughter of Charles (Bud) and Helen Brickman. Sally was a native to the Billings area since she was 18 months of age.
She attended “Children’s Village,” Garfield School and Sheltered Workshop, also known as COR Enterprises, Growth Thru Art and Billings Activity Program (BAP).
Sally was able to experience the joy of living in a group home, in her own apartment and finally transferring over to the assisted living program. Sally has lived at Primrose Assisted Living for the past 10 years.
In her spare time Sally could be found bowling and was on the YARC bowling league. She loved attending the YARC dances. Her last dance celebration was on Halloween of this year.
Sally was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Brickman. Sally is survived by her father, Charles Brickman; sister, Lynne (Kelly) Corneliusen; brothers, Carl (Cora) Brickman and Curtis (Kelly) Brickman; along with several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sally also has an extended family of friends/caregivers from Primrose and BAP.
Memorial service in Sally’s honor will be held at Smith’s Downtown Chapel on Monday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. Private interment will be at a later date. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the angels at Primrose and BAP for Sally’s care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Primrose Assisted Living, 1228 Maurine; BAP, 4635 Simpson; and YARC, 2918 Ramada Drive.
