King Kong is a brownish/reddish male rabbit available for adoption through the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.

A large rabbit, his age is unknown. He is sweet-natured and does not mind being held. He appears to be house-trained.

To adopt King Kong for a $15 fee, contact the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter at 1735 Monad Road or 294-PETS. Bring your own cage.

The shelter's hours are noon-7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed on Wednesdays.

YVAS has many adult cats and kittens available and is offering special summer adoption rates. There are also many dogs at the shelter in need of new homes. To view adoptable pets, go to yvas.org.

The organization is in dire need of canned cat food and is looking for a hard-sided kiddie pool for the dogs to play in during the hot weather. Volunteers, especially those with grooming experience, are needed to help out temporarily. Call 294-PETS to volunteer.
