Award-winning author, speaker and adventurer Tamela Rich will deliver a free presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Billings Clinic Cancer Center, fourth floor.
Rich will also given a brief welcome message to attendees of the Yellowstone County Relay for Life Survivor’s Celebration at 5 p.m. Friday in the West High gymnasium.
Looking for a good cause to champion as she planned her first cross-country motorcycle trip, Rich joined a group of American and Canadian women motorcyclists who decorated their bikes in pink swag and raised money for cancer charities. She never expected that driving a motorcycle with a pink bra strapped across its windshield would encourage those touched by cancer to share their stories as she stopped for fuel, food and scenery. But they did, and their stories changed her life forever.
Rich wrote "Live Full Throttle: Life Lessons From Friends Who Faced Cancer" based on this experience.
