Registration is open for the Billings Association of Realtors' annual Quality of Life Run.

Runners and walkers have until Aug. 8 to sign up for the Aug. 16 event, which will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

The event, sponsored by First Interstate Bank, features a 2-mile run/walk and 5-mile run that follow a route through the Rims, Pioneer Park and parts of downtown Billings. Both runs begin at 8 a.m. The event concludes with an awards ceremony held in the Transwestern Parking lot at 9 a.m.

The public can register for the event online at www.QualityofLifeRun.com or by calling 248-7145.

The registration fee of $20 for runners 14 years of age and older and $15 for kids under 13 includes a long-sleeve t-shirt or wicking shirt and a commemorative bag. Registrants are encouraged to register early to ensure they receive their desired shirt design and size.

The Quality of Life Run was created by the Billings Association of Realtors in 2004 to help raise money for and awareness of non-profits in the community. To date, the association's Quality of Life activities, including a casino night held earlier this month to benefit Eagle Mount, have raised more than $345,000 for Billings nonprofits.
