Presents can be seen from the top of the staircase in the Lenette Kosovich and Keith Edgerton home at 1140 North 32nd Street.
Gazette columnist Addison Bragg wrote a March 29, 1984 article in the Neighbors section about a change of home ownership and tradition for the Billings community.
He quotes the home's second family owners, the Snyders.
"'Mother always wanted one of us to be married here,' Sandra said, 'so we could toss a bouquet from that stair. It never happened,'" Bragg wrote.
Decades later, that dream partly came true when Kosovich and Edgerton married on the staircase on New Year's Eve in 2015.
"It was the party to end all parties at 1140 North 32nd," Kosovich said.
