Ashley is an energetic 1-year-old female Staffordshire terrier available at Help for Homeless Pets. This medium-sized pup is black, brown and white. She is well-mannered, knows basic commands and is good with kids, cats and other dogs. Ashley would make a great companion or family pet. She is microchipped and has received vaccinations, but will need a rabies shot.
A variety of other animals including cats of all ages and dogs of all sizes also are awaiting homes. Other Staffordshire terriers are available, too.
To adopt Ashley for $95, contact Help for Homeless Pets at 2910 Hannon Road, or call 896-1700. Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. daily.
Help for Homeless Pets hosts Adoption Options, a seminar at Holiday Inn Grand Montana from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19. Topics include animal welfare, marketing pet adoptions online and training shelter dogs. Details and free registration are available online at pro.petfinder.com/adoptionoptions.
The shelter needs donations of canned and dry cat food, dog and cat toys, leashes and collars. New volunteers are always welcome.
