Einstein is a 1-year-old male guinea pig available for adoption at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. He is black and brown, very friendly and comfortable with being held. He needs a home able to provide hay and vegetables to eat, a cage and proper litter.
To adopt Einstein for $10, contact Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter at 1735 Monad Road or 294-7387. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and closed Wednesday.
The organization is in need of dedicated volunteers, including some for the 2014-2015 YVAS Event Committee. Volunteer meetings are conducted the first Monday of every month. Contact Melissa at the shelter for more information.
The shelter needs donations of powdered kitten replacement milk and canned cat food. Also needed are foster families for the kittens. If interested, call Dana, 294-7387.
