Hughie is a happy-go-lucky male puppy available for adoption at the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. This white-and-tan Jack Russell/heeler mix is friendly and sweet. The 4-month-old pup gets along with everyone he meets and is sociable with other dogs.
He will still be small when fully grown. Also, he will require neutering, which is included in the adoption fee, as are worming, microchipping and vaccinations. When he is neutered, $50 of his adoption cost will be refunded to his new owner. Hughie will be an energetic adult dog, so he needs an active home.
“Library cats” are also available. These quiet cats prefer a calm environment and love their humans. When visiting the shelter, ask which felines qualify for a special adoption rate of $35.
To adopt Hughie for $210, contact Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter at 1735 Monad Road or call 294-7387. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and closed Wednesday.
A spay/neuter clinic is planned for Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27. Qualifying participants receive services at reduced rates. Call the shelter for details and to schedule an appointment.
The organization needs donations of kitten bottles and kitten replacement milk, plastic litter scoops, and rawhide chews and soft treats for dogs.
