Raj is a 1-year-old white and black male rat terrier mix available for adoption at Help for Homeless Pets.

This happy, playful pup likes to go for walks and is a great hiking and jogging partner.

He is good with kids and other dogs, but prefers a home without cats. He is neutered and current on vaccinations.

Other available animals include cats of all ages and other dogs.

To adopt Raj for $150, contact Help for Homeless Pets at 2910 Hannon Road, or call 896-1700. Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. daily.

The organization needs bleach, laundry soap, Pine-Sol, shredded paper, clean blankets, quilts, sheets, towels, pillow cases, wood stove pellets, dry cat food, dog treats and cat and dog toys.

New volunteers are always welcome and can choose to help with a variety of tasks in many areas.

Watch for upcoming spay-and-neuter clinic dates and other events and view a list of available animals at the organization’s Facebook page or helpforhomelesspets.org.
