Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will hold an archery instructor certification class on Oct. 19 in Hardin for physical education teachers, after-school instructors and adult coaches.
The class will certify coaches and teachers for the National Archery in the Schools Program. Participants will gain the skills and classroom knowledge necessary to instruct International Style Target Archery classes for students in grades 4-12.
The event is scheduled for Hardin High School at 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, the first day of the annual school break for teacher conventions. Participants can earn six hours of continuing education credits from the state Office of Public Instruction.
Successful completion of the class makes schools eligible to receive a partial 2017 grant to purchase archery equipment.
