Audubon get outside

The Montana Audubon Center is offering activities for adults and children this winter.

Upcoming events at the Montana Audubon Center, which are free to members, include:

Nature Nuts: Every Tuesday year-round from 10-11 a.m. Guided nature encounters for children ages 1-4 and an accompanying adult. No registration required. Different theme each week (log on to http://mtaudubon.org/center/upcoming-programs-events/ for more information. Cost is $6 per pair or an eight-pack for $40.

Saturday Morning Bird Strolls: Every second Saturday of the month, December through March, from 8-9:30 a.m. Great for beginning birders. Binoculars and guidebooks available to check out. No registration required. Families welcome. Cost is $10, $5 for children and students.

Weekend Wonders Family Programs: Third Sunday every month, November through March, from 3-4:30 p.m. Naturalist-led program open to all ages. Nov. 19: Terrific Turkeys; Dec. 17: Winter Wonderland; Jan. 21: Tracks, Scat and Signs; Feb. 18: Great Backyard Bird Count; March 18: Marching in Like a Lion - wind and other weather. Advance registration preferred at www.mtaudubon.org/center. The cost is $5/person.

Coffee Walk with a Naturalist: First Saturday of the month, December through March, from 10-11:30 a.m. Easy to moderate walks that focus on observing and learning about the natural world. Designed for adults and older children. No registration required. Different theme each week. $10/person, $5/student.
