Campfire talks are being offered this month at the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. The talk dates and topics at the Fort Smith Afterbay Amphitheater at 9 p.m are:

June 20: "Canyon land of the Bighorn" — history, ecology and geology of Bighorn Canyon.

June 21: Come learn about Plains Indian material.

June 27: "Canyon land of the Bighorn" —history, ecology and geology of Bighorn Canyon.

June 28: "Fort CF Smith and the Bozeman Trail" — the fort that guarded the trail that people followed to the gold rush in what is now western Montana.

The talk dates and topics at the Horseshoe Bend Campground Amphitheater at 8 p.m. are:

June 14: "Do you see what I see?" A close-up look at Bighorn Canyon.

June 27: Learn about mountain men who used the Bad Pass Trail that runs through the Bighorn Canyon area. Ranger Williams will wear mountain man clothes and fire a Hawken rifle.
