The Camp Mak-A-Dream Walleye Benefit will be held at Canyon Ferry Reservoir on Aug. 2, and all proceeds will be donated to the camp.

The event encourages family and friends to fish for the biggest walleye in a relaxed atmosphere. Its other focus is to encourage families to experience the fun of the outdoors.

The cost is $60 per boat with as many as can safely fish in a boat. The rules allow people to come ashore if needed. Money prizes are awarded for the first four largest walleye as well as a team grand prize, a ladies' grand prize, a children's grand prize and raffle prize drawings. The event is based at the Silos.

This event benefits Camp Mak-A-Dream, designed for youth with cancer, which is located at Gold Creek. The camp allows participants to have a week-long experience enjoying the outdoors.
