Harvest Church in the Heights will be hosting “Elk Fever” on Aug. 9 to celebrate the upcoming 2014 elk hunting season; to educate hunters; and to expose families and the community to fun elk hunting activities.

All activities will be free of charge and the entire family is encouraged to participate. Activities will include: a children's hunting experience including guided land navigation, tracking/blood trails, camo face painting, an obstacle course, calling (free bugle for all kids while supplies last), an archery range and the Cabela’s Inflatable BB Gun Range.

There will also be an array of hunting specialty vendors and seminars for everyone to browse. The keynote speaker will be David Allen, president of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

A free raffle will include prizes like: an adult bow package; youth bow package; Tikka T3 Light .300 Winchester Magnum with Vortex scope; Nikon range finder; Vortex binoculars; two anniversary edition Buck Knives; Kenetrek Boots; Black Gold bow sights; Heads Up Decoy; archery broadheads and more.
