Montana State Parks will host Junior Ranger Day and flint knapping demonstrations at Pictograph Cave State Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants will also study animal tracks, draw their own pictograph and see if they are faster than an antelope. These guided activities are best suited for rangers age 5-11.

While the kids play, adults can enjoy a demonstration by local flint knapper and Native American replica artifact expert Leroy "Little Beaver" Pickham. Pickham will demonstrate the techniques used for making assorted arrowheads and tools found on the Northern Plains. The demonstrations will take place in the picnic grounds.

Both programs are free and open to the public. For more information contact the Pictograph Cave Visitor Center at 254-7342.
