Montana State Parks will host Junior Park Ranger Day at Lake Elmo State Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Participants ages 5-8 will search for plants and critters of all kinds that make their home at Lake Elmo. They will learn about bugs, birds, fish and plants and participate in fun, hands-on activities while earning their Junior Ranger badge.

Sign-in starts at 9:45 a.m. Participants should meet in front of the Fish, Wildlife and Parks building. Children are encouraged to bring their own binoculars. A snack and juice will be provided around 11 a.m. Children should wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes that are OK to get wet. Bug spray and sunscreen are also recommended.

For more information or to register your child for Junior Ranger Day, contact Francine Sanchez at 247-2953 or email her at lakeelmo.americorps@gmail.com
