For the first time in several years the Grizzly Peak chair will run on the first day of the season as Red Lodge Mountain opens on Friday, Nov. 24, offering guests 1,983 vertical feet of skiing.

A total of 44 runs will be open, accessible from five chairlifts: Triple Chair, Willow Creek, Miami Beach, Grizzly Peak, and the Magic Carpet. Terrain accessible by the Grizzly Peak chair will be ungroomed until further notice. All lift tickets will be sold at the early season price, which is equivalent to the half-day rate, which is $45 for adults.

Food service for opening weekend will be available in the Main Lodge, Midway Chalet, and at the Bierstube, with the Bierstube hosting live music from Lee & Charlie on Friday and BS Squared on Saturday.

On Friday evening, the Red Lodge Roman Theater will be showing Warren Miller’s “Line of Descent,” with the doors opening at 6:30 pm.
