Beartooth Recreational Trails Association will hold its annual Ski and Gear Swap on Nov. 11 in Red Lodge at the Veteran’s Memorial Civic Center.
Gear can be checked in on Friday, Nov. 10, between 5 and 7 p.m. or Saturday, Nov. 11, between 8 and 10 a.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with the event ending at 1 p.m.
Gear that will be taken includes: camping, backpacking, all types of skis, boards, boots, bindings, skins, snowshoeing, climbing, biking, paddling and much more. Old, dirty, broken or dangerous gear will not be taken. Advisers will be on hand to help with those decisions.
The event also offers parents a chance to sign their children up for the association's Kids (learn-to-ski) Program and/or to pick up children's cross-country skis, boots and poles. Season rentals are $35 per set plus a $25 deposit. Passes for the Red Lodge Nordic Center will also be offered for sale.
Money raised at the swap goes to BRTA, which receives 20 percent of all sales.
