Two trails into the Lava Lake area south of Bozeman were reopened on Friday after firefighters contained a fire burning just above the lake.

The Lava Lake Trail (Forest Service Trail No. 77) and the trail from Table Mountain that drops down to Lava Lake (Forest Service Trail No. 445) have been reopened.

Firefighters will continue monitoring the fire.
