Walleyes Unlimited banquet is Saturday

The 20th annual Walleyes Unlimited banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center on Saturday. Doors open at 4 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

This is an all-you-can-eat walleye dinner. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Donations and prizes given away during this year’s banquet will amount to more than $40,000.

The banquet will be preceded by the following seminars: 9 a.m. — Mike Ruggles, Fish, Wildlife and Parks fisheries biologist, will talk about the fishery at Bighorn Reservoir; 10 a.m. — Luckie Bethel will teach how to slip bobber fish; 11 a.m. — Bethel will present his tactics on crankbait fishing; noon — Bethel will teach how to keep your fish alive; 1 p.m. -- Travis from St. Croix Rods will do a presentation on all the newest and hottest rods from the company.

There is still room for vendors to display their products during the banquet. Contact Todd Koessl at 794-1292 to set up displays.
