After responding to a record number of water-related emergencies this year, Miles City Fire Rescue is sponsoring a Community Water Safety Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Natural Oasis.

This is a free event targeting adults and adolescents who either can’t swim or have limited swimming ability.

Participants will learn the basics of water safety and what to do in an emergency. MCFR Firefighter/EMTs, MCFR’s Water Rescue Team, and Miles City Natural Oasis Lifeguards will be on hand during the event.

Other participants include Walleyes Unlimited and the Bureau of Land Management.

If you would like to donate or help with the event, contact Sarah Young at 406-234-2235.
