Yellowstone National Park's Boiling River winter hours went into effect on Oct. 10.

During the winter the popular "hot potting" area will be open from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. Winter hours will remain in effect until the river closes due to high water in the spring (April or May).

Bathing is only permitted during designated hours. For visitor safety, night use is prohibited.
