The Billings Family YMCA is offering a number of outdoor trips for youngsters ages 11 through 14 this summer through its BOLD/GOLD program.

This is not your traditional summer camp. Instead, youngsters will be visiting places like Yellowstone National Park on backpacking and fly-fishing trips and canoeing down the Missouri River. Each trip is six days and five nights and nearly all of the gear needed for each participant is provided, as well as transportation.

In addition to the separate and longer girls and boys outings, two weekend adventures will be offered on May 10 and June 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Scholarships are available. For more information about scholarships or to sign up for one of the outings, contact the YMCA at 248-1685.
