A U.S. Postal Service truck hit a 53-year-old man on a bicycle on Wednesday afternoon, sending the man to the hospital with minor injuries.
The bicyclist, a Billings resident, had been traveling on the sidewalk on 24th Street West heading north. When he went to cross King Avenue West, the truck went to turn right on a red light.
The bicyclist was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare. The USPS driver, Billings resident Brandon Strending, 32, was cited for failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
