A Billings man tried in Wyoming last week on a sexual assault charge was acquitted.
Kelby Niebuhr, 20, was tried in Laramie County District court on a single count of first degree sexual assault. He was acquitted and has returned to Billings, his attorney said.
Niebuhr was arrested on a warrant in April 2017 by the Montana Violent Offenders Task Force, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. He was arrested at a Billings home on the 2900 block of Golden Acres Drive.
