A man faces his fifth DUI after passing out at the wheel and narrowly missing other cars early Friday afternoon, according to charging documents.

Brandon Kraig Kevin Schiell, also known as Ronnie Kevin-Kraige Stengel, appeared on Monday in Yellowstone County Justice Court. Schiell, 35, faces felony charges of criminal endangerment and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a peace officer.

Witnesses told police Schiell had passed out at the wheel while driving near Poly Drive and Zimmerman Trail, twice hitting the side of the road. When officers located him, he was at the intersection of Rehberg Lane and Avenue F, passed out in the driver’s seat of a car with the keys in the ignition, charges state. When officers were unable to shake him awake, they applied a sternum rub, or a knuckle rub to the chest. Schiell woke up but declined to provide his name.

Officers obtained a search warrant and had a blood sample taken. The results were not included in court documents.

Schiell has previous DUI convictions from 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2015.
