A registered sex offender living in Billings faces new allegations of child pornography and “sexting” with young girls.
Francis Henry Parker, 28, is being held in the Yellowstone County jail on five felony counts of sexual abuse of children.
Parker was booked into the jail Tuesday and is expected to be arraigned Monday in District Court.
According to charging documents, a state agent with the Division of Criminal Investigation received information last July from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone in Billings was using a social-networking website to have sexual conversations with underage girls.
The agent, Gary Seder, learned that the person was providing a telephone number so girls could send pictures by text messages.
The phone number led Seder to Parker, a registered sex offender living at 409 Ed St., court records state. Parker has a previous conviction in 2008 for possessing and distributing child pornography.
Parker allegedly admitted to using the Internet site to meet underage girls, who then exchanged nude photos with him. One of the girls was 13 and lived in Georgia. The other two girls were 16 and lived in Ohio and Tennessee.
Parker’s computer was seized, and a search showed Parker allegedly created a file of each of the girls that contained numerous explicit pictures.
The search also revealed Parker had allegedly been downloading images and videos of child pornography.
