A woman pepper-sprayed staff at multiple Billings stores after trying to steal chain saws, a leaf blower, meat and other items, according to charging documents.

Sabrina Greybull, 29, appeared on two felony robbery charges in Yellowstone County Justice Court on Monday. She was booked into the county jail on Friday on bond of $254,435.

According to charges, Greybull was at the West End Albertsons, 3137 Grand Ave., on July 11 when a store employee saw her pushing a cart with a cooler, steaks and other meat out the door, seemingly without paying. He followed her outside and confronted her. Greybull could not produce a receipt when asked, and when the store employee tried to take the cart, Greybull pepper-sprayed him, he told investigators.

On Aug. 19, Greybull had a similar run-in at Lowe’s, 2717 King Ave. W., where she tried to steal a leaf blower and two chain saws, pepper-spraying two employees who tried to stop her, according to charges.

Charging documents say Greybull also pepper-sprayed staff at Target after being confronted about a possible theft there.

Greybull had been wanted by the U.S. Marshals Montana Violent Offender Task Force on an outstanding warrant.
