The schedule is set for upcoming public appearances by the four remaining candidates for Billings city administrator.
The four men will visit Billings Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The city council is expected to announce its decision Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. in the Royal Johnson Community Room at the Billings Public Library, 510 N. Broadway.
A meet and greet for the four finalists — Ron Alles, Helena city administrator; Greg Doyon, Great Falls city administrator; David Fraser, former city administrator in Boulder City, Nevada; and Kevin Smith, general manager of the Truckee Tahoe Airport District in California — will be held from 7 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Babcock Room at the Northern Hotel, 19 N. Broadway.
The city council will interview the four candidates separately, all in the Hart Albin Room at the Northern Hotel: Alles at 8 a.m., Smith at 9:45 a.m., Fraser at 1:15 p.m. and Doyon at 3 p.m.
When they aren’t being interviewed by the city council, the candidates will, in turn, meet with city department heads and tour the city and the Billings Chamber of Commerce.
A press conference has been scheduled with all four candidates from 4:45 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Northern Hotel.
The candidates will have lunch with city council members from 11:30 p.m. through 1 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Petroleum Club at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 27 N. 27th St.
On Dec. 1, the city council will meet with department heads at the library’s community room beginning at 8 a.m. The meeting for council members to discuss the candidates and make their selection begins at 9 a.m. in the same room.
