The ad-hoc committee advising the Billings City Council on which group to select to manage the historic Babcock Theatre will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the conference room at Billings City Hall, 210 N. 27th St.
On Thursday, committee members said that they’d work during their next meeting toward deciding on which of two applicants — Vintage Theater Partners or the Art House Cinema & Pub — would receive the committee’s recommendation.
The city is wrapping up negotiations to complete the takeover of the 750-seat theater, constructed in 1907 and now on the National Register of Historic Places.
A date for the council’s decision on the committee’s recommendation has not been announced.
Two council members — Larry Brewster and Dick Clark — are members of the ad-hoc committee. Brewster chairs the committee.
