Eleven local organizations dedicated to serving youth will split a total of $20,000 from First Interstate Bank's Centennial Youth Foundation.

The foundation was created by First Interstate Bank in 1982. Originally, the Billings offices of First Interstate Bank pledged to donate $10,000 in grants to local youth organizations every year for 100 years. In response to increased requests, First Interstate increased its annual granting amount to $20,000 in 2003. This year's award recipients are: Foundation for Billings Public Schools $5,000; Family Service Inc. $4,000; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yellowstone County $2,500; Living Water $1,750; Montana Rescue Mission $1,750; YWCA $1,250; The First Tee Montana $1,000; PLUK (Parents Let's Unite for Kids) $1,000; Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools $ 750; CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) $500, and United Way of Yellowstone County $500.
