At about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Virginia Kurtz, 46, was driving a Dodge minivan west on Highway 3 and attempted to make a U-turn near the intersection with Masterson Circle, Billings Police Sgt. Mitch Hart said.

The van collided with a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. and both vehicles veered off the south side of the road.

Billings firefighters had to remove Kurtz and another passenger, a 42-year-old Billings man whose name was not released, from the minivan. Firefighters had to tear the rear driver’s side door .

Both were taken to a Billings hospital, treated for minor injuries and released, Hart said. Kurtz was then cited for DUI.
