PARK CITY - Tia Kober and Fritzi Idelman have earned a reputation for making the best angel food cakes around. Now the Park City sisters are featured in the newest episode of Backroads Montana, to be broadcast at 7 p.m., Nov. 8, on MontanaPBS.
The latest installment of the Montana series, subtitled "Cakes and Cowboys," begins with the "cake ladies" of Park City who rely on their coop full of chickens for the eggs that make their cakes so special. Also featured is Bob Petermann, a cowboy, rancher and singer from the Wibaux area. He is known throughout the West at cowboy poetry gatherings.
The program also includes stops at the Montana Veterans Memorial in Great Falls and a tour of a Tonka toy collection at a museum in Winifred . The host segments were filmed in Malta and include visits to the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum, the Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge, Malta High School and an evening at a Malta Mustangs football game.
The program will repeat at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, and again at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 15.
