The busy summer travel season is causing longer wait times for travelers in line for early morning departures at the Billings Logan International Airport, officials said.
Travelers with flights leaving between 6 and 7 a.m. can expect increased crowding in security screening lines, airport officials said in a press release issued Friday.
Airport, airline and Transportation Security Administration officials are recommending this summer that travelers arrive at the airport two hours before early morning flights are scheduled to take off.
For flights leaving throughout the rest of the day, officials recommend arriving at the airport 90 minutes before flight takeoff time during the summer travel season.
The airport terminal and TSA screening areas are open at 4 a.m. daily.
