Billings firefighters responded late Monday afternoon to an apartment fire at the Cliff House Apartments, 3306 Third Ave. N.

Multiple engines responded to the call at about 5:40 p.m., and smoke could be seen coming out of a second-story apartment.

According to a release from Deputy Fire Marshal Trever Schilling, the fire caused major damage to an apartment and moderate damage to the building's roof. Other apartments had moderate smoke damage.

There were no injuries.

The property is insured, according to the release, but it's unknown if the contents of the apartment that burned were insured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
