Billings police released photos and a description Tuesday of the man suspected of assaulting an employee at a Heights restaurant and casino with a pair of bolt cutters before stealing money from a safe.

The man is described as white, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, according to a press release form the Billings Police Department. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, brown boots, black gloves and a black "HJC" motorcycle helmet with a clear visor.

The suspect was also carrying a black backpack, according to the release.

The suspect broke into the Play Inn at 1422 Main St. at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday and attacked a male employee with a pair of bolt cutters, according to the release. The bolt cutters were then used to cut a lock on a safe, and the suspect left with "an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe."

Speaking Saturday, BPD Sgt. Shane Shelden said the suspect entered the building after smashing the glass out of the back door. The employee had been cleaning the building and was taken to a Billings hospital with minor injuries, Shelden said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the BPD Detective Division at 406-657-8473 or Crime Stoppers at 406-246-6660.
