Billings Police Department detectives are investigating the discovery of two bodies at a residence on Cook Avenue on Wednesday morning.
A 14-year-old girl and her 33-year-old mother were found dead in a home in the 1233 Cook Ave., during a welfare check, according to BPD Lt. Kevin Iffland.
The 14-year-old had not been to school for several days, and the school resource officer tried to make contact with the family, but was unable to, Iffland said. When officers entered the home they found the two bodies.
There does not appear to be any criminal activity surrounding the deaths, Iffland said, but no further information will be available until the investigation is completed.
