Candidates from both parties seeking election to the Montana Legislature have been invited to a forum on disabilities organized by individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
The forum is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at MSUB's City College, 3803 Central Ave., Room 117.
Of the nearly half a million voters in Montana, approximately 50,000 were people who have a disability representing 1 in 10 votes. Many individuals, their families and communities are affected by legislation on community services, employment, education and other challenges faced by people with disabilities and their families.
The forum will provide candidates an opportunity to ask and answer questions related to this issue.
Transportation and accommodations are available and interpreters will attend.
The forum is being hosted by Parents Let’s Unite for Kids (PLUK), Disability Rights Montana and The Arc of Montana.
