The Yellowstone County commissioners Tuesday will be conducting interviews of three candidates for appointment to the Montana House District 51 opening.
The interviews will start at 10:30 a.m. after the commission’s board meeting in the conference room at 403A of the courthouse, 217 N. 27th St. The vote to appoint a new representative will occur on at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 23.
The board will appoint a person to replace former state Rep. Adam Rosendale, a Republican, who resigned his seat in December after moving to Great Falls.
HD 51 includes north of the Yellowstone River and portions of the South Side and West End to Shiloh Road. The seat will be up for election in this year’s general election.
