The community is invited to come out and support the Big Sky All-Stars during a celebration Saturday that includes a motorcade and a program at Dehler Park.
The team, coaches and vehicles in the parade will stage at the Billings Chamber of Commerce building and will depart at 5 p.m. from 815 S. 27th.
Escorted by police, firefighters and sheriff's officers, the motorcade will continue to Dehler Park, with the team's arrival expected at about 5:30 p.m.
The program will be emceed by Mayor Tom Hanel and his wife, Robin.
Gov. Brian Schweitzer will attend the ceremonies, which will include the Little League oath, the national anthem and fireworks.
A video will highlight the team's journey to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.
Sportscaster Rocky Erickson will introduce the athletes and coaches. After the program, athletes will be available for autographs for a short time.
Alex Tyson, vice president of the Billings Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the chamber was inundated with calls from people wanting to help welcome the team back from its historic run at the Little League World Series.
"We have received dozens of phone calls and emails from individuals and businesses who want to help in some way," she said.
The chamber worked with Little League organizers, the city, the Downtown Billings Alliance, Big Sky Economic Development and many other entities to recognize the Big Sky All-Stars.
"This Little League team has to understand the impact it's made on Billings youth," Tyson said. "These kids represented Billings so well. This is all about the kids."
Refreshments will be available. Donations have come from all parts of Billings to defray costs, so that all proceeds will benefit Big Sky Little League.
