Construction work is ongoing to address dangerous curves along Lipp Road, north of Laurel.

The project will straighten out two curves on the portion of state-owned road between 88th Street West and Buffalo Trail Road.

The intersection between Lipp Road and Buffalo Trail Road will remain intact.

No disruption to traffic is expected at this time, according to the Montana Department of Transportation.

“It’s a safety improvement project. They had an accident cluster in the area,” MDT project manager T.J. Ramaeker said.

Construction began June 1 and should be completed in October, he said.

The project budget is around $1.8 million in state and federal funds, Ramaeker said.
