Cooler temperatures and showers are possible through the weekend across the region with the heaviest precipitation expected to occur in far southeast Montana, the National Weather Service said Friday.
The Billings area can expect a high of about 65 degrees on Friday with a 30 percent chance of scattered showers after noon. Southwest winds will be up to 13 mph in the afternoon. The low will be about 41 degrees with a 50 percent chance for scattered showers and mostly cloudy skies.
There is a 60 percent chance for showers on Saturday with thunderstorms possible after noon. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the high will be about 62 degrees. The low will be about 39 degrees with an 80 percent chance of showers.
Showers will continue into Sunday with a 70 percent chance of rain. Skies will be cloudy skies and the high will be about 54 degrees. The low will be about 35 degrees.
